All ironmongery installed on a fire door must be fitted without compromising the integrity of the complete fire door assembly. This is particularly important when ironmongery is rebated into the doorset such as hinges, locks and latches. To ensure our CE Certifire latches, dead bolts, locks and hinges are compliant, intumescent kits or pads must be fitted. These kits are flexible and pre-made with cut out lines that can be tailored to the item they are being fitted with. Check the fire rating of the door and ensure you fit the appropriate intumescent protection.
